PINOY TIMES 1ST ANNIVERSARY PICNIC IN THE PARK

PINOY TIMES 1ST ANNIVERSARY PICNIC IN THE PARK thumbnail

It was a sunny day and now the planning is over.  It’s our 1st anniversary picnic held at Bowness Park from 10 am to 5 om.  It has been 12 months since Pinoy Times started circulating in Calgary as one of the Filipino community papers.

With the help of the volunteers from day 1, we were able to deliver every 15th of the month and keep our readers informed with all the current events and happenings in and around town and even news from back home.  This is our way to serving our community thru the print media.  With the growing population of Filipinos here in Calgary, we will try our very best to keep up with the expectations of our readers.

Many thanks to all those who attended, family, frriends and of course our beloved advertisers.  We also concluded our 1st Essay writing by giving the trophies and the other prizes to lucky winners.   Special thanks to Narlo and his  wife from PASOC for letting us  use their sound system, to Manila Hour for the Live feed coverage.

I would also like to thank  Solid Industries, Lou and Ben Ang for the huge bday cake of Pinoy Times; to Ms. Jenny Bungay of Phi. Financial Services for the huge Lechon, and to everyone who share this special event with us, to the donors of the door prizes, Carlos Perez, Mayer of Fil Nannies & Lottie Brar of MCLtd.
