EX-PBA ALL STARS IN Jack Simpson Gym, University of Calgary

An upcoming Basketball event is slated to be held in Calgary, Alberta at the Jack Simpson Gym, University of Calgary on November 1, 2009. Featuring ex-PBA star players Alvin Patrimonio, Benjie Paras, Jerry Codinera, Vergel Meneses, , Gerry Esplana, Jun Limpot, Ed Cordero, Noli Locsin, Joey Santa Maria, Bonnel Balingit and  legends  Mon Fernandez and Atoy Co with the San Beda College head coach Bonnie Garcia, this ex-PBA All Star cast will be playing against a surprise team touted as Calgary’s best. Selection to this team is on-going and all interested parties are encouraged to sign-up for the try-out.

A project of MACY’S DISTRIBUTION, Vancouver and Bryan Fabrig of Bahay Kubo Calgary, with PINOY TIMES and  Mabuhay Calgary as media partners, the overall objective is to promote and develop the importance and impact of sports in moulding the youth and harnessing their full potential.  With this in mind, the event will be an exciting afternoon affair kicking off with a preliminary game of 2 best teams in Calgary at 12 noon, they  will play to highlights their skills and talents for scouts and team coaches from the Philippines. Again all interested groups or parties are encouraged to register their teams and take an active part in some fun and friendly competition leading to the afternoon`s main event.
