PREMIER ED STELMACH MEETS WITH ETHNIC MEDIA GROUPS

Calgary – July 9, 2010

With the efforts of MLA Teresa Woo Paw, the different Ethnic media group of Alberta had the chance to meet Premier Stelmach in person and discuss various issues of interests. This meeting was held at the Crowsnest Room of the MacDougall Centre on July 9th. It brought forward the opportunity to establish a good working relationship with Premier Stelmach for the betterment of everyone especially the different ethnic groups thru the media. PINOY TIMES was truly honored to be a part of this meeting and to represent the entire Filipino community not just in Calgary but in the whole Alberta. We vowed to the Premier that we will do our best to be of service to our community at all times.

A part of PINOY TIMES’ goal is to make all Filipinos in different parts of ALBERTA united and be one in spirit. No matter what ethnic background we came from back home, we are all FILIPINOS born and raised from our home country, the Philippines, and came to seek better life and future in our new home, CANADA. I have raised to Premier Stelmach that our main goal as media for the Filipino community is to show each and everyone that we will always preserve the culture and traditions from our home country but will definitely adapt to our new home, CANADA.

Premier Stelmach was very postive and definitely optimistic in extenting support to all concerns raised by the different Ethnic media groups. He indicated that this is just the beginning and will further the horizons for each of us with the support of the Government of Alberta.
