TFC UNFOLDS THE MYSTERY BEHIND THE BLACK NAZARENE

TFC UNFOLDS THE MYSTERY BEHIND THE BLACK NAZARENE IN “PATROL NG PILIPINO”

A year won’t pass in the Philippines without a million of Filipinos gathering at the Quiapo Church for the Feast of the Black Nazarene.

The devotees, all praying for a miracle, don’t mind the heat, the crowd, and the possible danger for a chance to touch or at least get close to the Nazarene.

ABS-CBN reporter Chiara Zambrano joined the massive crowd in the parade last Sunday (Jan 9) to further understand the beliefs of Nazarene devotees. Does being a follower really earn you miracle?

Meanwhile, Jorge Cariño braved the storm-hit Albay, where flooded residents had to be rescued and evacuated due to the threat of continuous rains. Filipinos have already shown resiliency after being hit with numerous typhoons before, but for how much longer can the local government support and ensure their safety.

Find out the stories behind the news with Chiara Zambrano and Jorge Cariño  in “Patrol ng Pilipino” on The Filipino Channel (TFC).
