Summer is just flying by so fast that soon we will start to see falling leaves from the trees. So while we still see the sun shining, we should continue to take advantage of our summer weather. Enjoy the outdoors and get lots of Vitamin D. Remember that the only main source of Vitamin D is the sun and in Alberta we all know that our summer is shorter than our winter.

Last July, my family and I decided to drive to Osoyoos for 4 days and 3 nights. It was a long drive but very scenic and weather was gorgeous. The place we stayed, Walnut Beach Resort, has a private lakefront and it was very relaxing. My husband and I took a wine shuttle trip and we end up in 4 wineries. Definitely, you cannot get wines in Calgary that are produced by local wineries in the Okanagan except for the big ones like Mission Hill, Inniskilin, Jackson Triggs, etc. We made it a point to buy wine made by local wineries since we cannot get it here in Alberta. I would highly recommend a trip to Osoyoos for those who love wine and fruits and those who enjoy the scenic drive.

Back in Calgary we had a wonderful time during the Ok Go Kapamilya event brought to us by TFC and Western Union. Excellent performances by group of local artists from Manila. It was a very well attended event and we are all looking everytime TFC comes to Calgary. Overall, it was a huge success. Congratulations to all the people behind another magnificent and tremendous production – from the management of TFC to the production staff, we salute you!

Edmontonians on the other hand will be looking forward to a wonderful surprise with a show from none other than Ms Lea Salonga at the River Cree Casino. So don’t miss this date with Ms. Salonga for a one of a lifetime experience. From her performances in Ms. Saigon and other various broadway musicals, this evening will definitely moved your hearts with her magnificent voice.
