CONCERT IN REVIEW

PINOY CHAMPS CONCERT TOUR 2012 – The last leg of the tour

Held at Winspear Theatre in Edmonton, Alberta on June 17, the last show held on that Sunday night was amazingly successful. The “SOLD OUT” line across the posters depicted that entering through the doors will reveal to us a night that we will all truly remember and will keep in our hearts forever. An experience incomparable to the many concerts I have attended since becoming the regular writer of Pinoy Times’ column for reviewing concerts, I was astounded and truly speechless. It was all screams, and awes, and swoosh of happy, yippee, and yeheys!!!!

All four artists performed to their best and their maxes. With Jovit Baldovino and Yeng Constantino, who are second-timers in Alberta, are the most recent additions in the roster of Champion singers from reality shows Pilipinas Got Talent and Star Power, Marcelito Pomoy and Angeline Quinto. The songs rendered were properly chosen by the Musical Director to get the audience’ attention and they were successful in doing so. I have no recollection of any song that did not stir my fanatic side.

To sum it all up, one word only describes this momentous event for the producer CityHits Production’ Malou Delera Filasol of Edmonton and her entire supportive crew, BRAVURA!
