Many students use loans to fund their education. You may be eligible for an Alberta student loan if you are a Canadian Citizen, Permanent resident and resident of Alberta, your program and institution is approved, you do not have enough money to cover basic costs and you are enrolled as a full-time or part-time student. There are full-time and part-time loans to choose from.

Other financial assistance can be found in grants (Student Aid Alberta Grants and Canada Student Grants), bursaries (monetary grant based primarily on financial need) and scholarships (monetary award based on academic merit or excellence).
