If you would like to study for six months or less in Canada, you do not need a study permit. If, however, you would like to study for more than six months, you must apply for a permit to study in Canada. Before you can apply for a study permit, you must be accepted by a Canadian designated learning institution (DLI) and have proof that you have enough money to pay for your tuition fees and living expenses. DLIs usually require you to submit your diploma, transcript of records, passport and other documents before they can give you their letter of acceptance.

Wanting to speed up the processing of her application, Jacquilou Giray, brought the right documents with her to Carl Benito when she visited his office in January 2016. Jacquilou told Carl that she first came to Canada in May 2014 to work as a food counter attendant at Tim Hortons. She also told Carl that she needed help in applying for a permit to study in Canada.

Carl helped Jacquilou in securing a letter of acceptance from a DLI in Edmonton, in collecting the mandatory documents, and in filling out the required forms. They were able to submit Jacquilou’s study permit application on February 25, 2016. Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) approved her application on March 24, 2016.

When asked about her experience with Carl, Jacquilou stated that “the processing is so fast and the service is very good. I always recommend Carl Benito to my friends”.

WHY CARL DOES IMMIGRATION CONSULTANCY

Carl considers his work in immigration consultancy as his own way of honoring God. His experience as member of the Alberta Legislature (2008-2012), his exposure to people of various origins as well as his devout faith in God have inspired Carl to dedicate himself to helping immigrants. As an immigrant himself, Carl fully understands that finding work, extending status and moving to Canada is an extremely challenging process. That is why he prayed hard that God may use him as instrument in helping immigrants find work, study, extend their permit and re-unite with their loved ones through various immigration processes, including permanent residency and citizenship in Canada. Carl is not only sincere, honest and hardworking, he is also trustworthy as his only desire is to honour God in everything that he does.
