The year just flew by, it ’s barely 45 days and we’re into 2019.  It is amazing that with the change of season, that’s how fast we can feel that the year is almost over.  We started getting snow here and there and yet we’re still in the fall season. Mid-October to early November was a [...]

Hello dear readers,

We’re now in the month of September and the leaves are starting to fall. There are still some days full of sunshine so we can still enjoy those days. Almost all of the community events are now over and the students are back to school. Parents are now busier that their children now have to pay attention to their daily lessons in school. And those who are fresh graduates from Grade 12 who are now in either universities or colleges, they will face a whole new world. It’s even hard for parents when their children had to go to universities out of Calgary or more so, out of Canada. But as parents need to sacrifice for their children, so does our children too. They are aiming high to reach their goals so as parents, we should always be supportive of that.

The month of September is very meaningful to me and to my late husband because for me, this is the month we got married 13 years ago and this is also the month he celebrates his birthday. For my late husband, this is the month when he gets ready for his hunting escapades. He has been a wild game hunter since his teenage years until he got hit with Parkinson’s disease. But nevertheless, when he retired from hunting he got busy with his art studio during the winter and his garden during the summer. There was indeed no stopping him from moving around even when he was in the advance stage of his PD. And now for me, I can just enjoy all of his arts that’s in my possession and the garden in the summer when all his flowers are in bloom. His memories will live forever in my heart.

More concerts are coming up our in the last 4 months of 2018. Watch our for the posters in the inside pages to get up to date on the different shows of artists coming straight from the Philippines. Let us support OPM and local artist to give us quality shows with their excellent performances.

Until next issue, God bless us all!
