Dear readers,

First of all the weather is now definitely spring. I can see some greens now in the rock garden and the backyard. Having a garden is quite a bit of work but if you have a green thumb you are definitely enjoying this part of the year. So enjoy Spring while it lasts.

Next I want to.greet every mother a belated Mother’s Day. I’m sure every mother had a special treat from their families. For those who has children far away from them I hope that their thoughtfulness gave way to remember you on your special day.

The month of May has been a roller coaster ride with all the different concerts and shows. Almost every week there’s concerts if not in Calgary, there’s one in Edmonton. Alberta might still be in economic crisis but still the Filipinos want to be entertained with their hard earned money.

Now it’s for me to say my goodbye. I am taking off my hat as publisher of the longest running community paper and will still continue from now on under the new publisher, Mr. Roberto Ugaddan. Everything remains the same and I will continue to be a part of the publication as a feature writer. It’s about time to take a break and enjoy life!
