Hello dear readers, It has been a roller coaster ride with the weather with the mix of rain and sunshine lately.  When it rains, the advantage is we do not have to water the garden and the disadvantage is we cannot enjoy the outdoors.  On the other hand, when we have sunshine all day, we can [...]

A Hope that Last

by: Pastor Nilo Briones

Life is the greatest gift that God has given to mankind.  It is so precious that it has the potential to either make or break the desires of any dream builder.  It may be likened to a mist of vapor that appears and disappears in a fleeting time, but it has a meaningful purpose from its divine Giver.  But when one is down and out, hope seems to slip through the cracks dissipating hope to survive life.

Spare me a moment of your time and let’s have some reflections.  If you’re feeling overwhelmed with problems, be not dismayed nor discouraged!  The Holy Scriptures says that our loving God cares more than we care for ourselves.  What do we do then? We are admonished to be still and surrender our cares to the Lord by prayer of faith believing that there is no mountain high enough that He can’t move.

Whatever the burdens (financial distress, physical illness, relationship heartaches, or spiritual oppression), give them to the covenant-keeping God, who keeps His promise of deliverance to those who have  the blessed hope and those who put their trust in Him.  The Lord says in the Scriptures, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jer. 29:11). Praise the Lord Jesus!
