The Pangasinan Society of Calgary (PASOC) held another successful camping last August 21 to 23, 2010 at its favourite outdoor hideout – the Riverbend Campgrounds and Resort in Okotoks, Alberta. In spite of the gloomy forecast of rain showers for the week-end, twenty-five families totalling to approximately 100 members showed up for this annual event. PASOC campers of all ages shared their favourite dishes during the pot-luck lunch and dinner. Camping Chairman Pol Mendoza was ecstatic and very pleased with the attendance who occupied all the reserved fifteen units, enjoying the comfort of their RVs, motor-homes, trailers and camping vans while some preferred to put up tents of various sizes and shapes. So far, the weather did cooperate all day long except for a brief and light shower in the wee hours of Sunday morning. Before leaving the campgrounds, PASOC Vice President Narlo Serquiña has once again booked the same full service units for next year’s camping. It’s set for Aug. 19, 20 and 21, 2011.
