[1]Spring has sprung! Daylight savings time in effect since March 11th. Time to put away our heavy winter jackets and bring out our spring jackets. Let’s smell the flowers as they bloom this springtime. It’s time to enjoy the outdoors once again.
Just a reminder my friends, that life is too short and we should live to the fullest. Our deepest condolences to the Roger Encarnacion and family who recently lost their oldest daughter, Genalyn Encarnacion, due to brain aneurysm. We would also like to express our deepest sympathy to the families of the 4 Filipino contract workers who died in a very horrific accident because of a drunk driver. A reminder to everyone, PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.
On the happy note, we are all looking forward to the concert of the year – TWOGETHER with Pops and Martin on May 6, 2012 at the Jack Singer Hall proudly produced by JAVA Promotions. Please go to page 23 to find out where you can get your tickets. Don’t miss this big event in our Filipino community, it’s one of a kind.
On my recent trip to Manila, I had accomplished the mission of giving the donation for the Typhoon Sendong victims to SAGIP KAPAMILYA on behalf of all those who gave their share during our benefit concert last January 22, 2012 and from some of my co-workers at CNRL, and all those who attended the PINOY TIMES Christmas party who participated in the 50/50 and the photobooth session with Mark, Zaldy and Jazle. Thank you so much for the combined efforts in raising USD 2,660.00. It just proved that nothing is impossible when we unite ourselves for the common good.
Let’s enjoy the MARCH 2012 issue of PINOY TIMES and until next month, MABUHAY ANG PINOY!
