The 1st quarterof the year is over and yes, time flies so fast. It was just like yesterday when Ed Stelmach stepped down as Premier of Alberta when Alison Redford won the race last year and she became the 1st Woman Premier of Alberta in the political history. Now this coming April 23, 2012, we need to know if it will still be Premier Redford or if somebody else will be leading the province to be the best place to live in Canada. No matter who you decide to vote, let your knowledge of each candidates prevail on what good they can do for the province and for the Albertans no matter what race or origin they are. Please vote wisely, not just because they are popular or very visible on television. I will vote for one who will also look into the welfare of immigrants here in Alberta, for the one who will look at every citizen with equality in all aspects in life.

Now that Spring has sprung, garden centres are finally coming out with all the different seeds that you might need for your garden; I can see a lot of annuals starting to be on display as well as some garden accessories. Let’s enjoy our gardens this time of the year and make sure that we will have an abundance of nice flowering plants in our backyard. Gardening is not my passion but I love to see my backyard with all the annuals that my husband has planted ever since we moved to our house in 2003. His rock garden is amazing with all the flowers that come back to live every summertime. I’d say that his rock garden is a work of love and tender care.
