OUTSTANDING PINOY FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE 2015

MS. IREN ROSERO MONGE

An ordinary woman who has strong desire to help others has been known to her fellow member of the Triskelions’ Grand Fraternity and Sorority as a person with a soft heart. She is currenty the Chairperson of the Southern Alberta Council of their sorority.

Ms. Iren Rosero Monge as a leader opf her organization encourages her group to help and support the community in every way she can. She cares for people with illness or disabilities and those who are victims of calamities. She initiates and actively participates in variouse community service and volunteer programs.

A few of her accomplishments are blood letting at Canadian Blood Services, Adopt-A-Day, Build-A-Home volunteer assistance at the Habitat for Humanity, participated at Mother’s day run to support the neonatal intensive care units and stollery children’s hospital foundation held at the Chinook Mall. She also initiated in October 2015 to raise funds to support the Children’s wish foundation of Canada. In November 1, 2015 she initiated a volunteer program and provided monetary assistance to Nueva Ecija victims of typhoon Lando. Lastly, just recently she donated 25 gift shoe boxes for Samaritan’s purse annual Christmas gift giving for less fortunate children.

With just a few of the accomplishments she has don not just for the Filipino community but even to other Canadian organizations, she shows an extraordinary ability to do things over and over her regular day to day work as a caregiver. She never stopped just with doing 1 or 2 volunteering but when she has the time she always put volunteerism as her number 1 priority especially to the Filipino community.

It is an honor to present the OUTSTANDING PINOY FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE 2015, none other than MS. IREN ROSERO MONGE.
