OUTSTANDING PINOY FOR SENIOR 2015

MR. GERVACIO “GERVIE” PAGSANGHAN

Migrated to Canada on March 31, 1994 and blessed with 5 children and happily married to Nelia Pagsanghan of Bicol.

He graduated with the degree of Civil Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology and awarded an Honor in Commercial Arts at Jose Abad Santos Technical School.

During his career in the Philippines he was sent by Republic Ceramic Manufacturing Corporation to Tokononami Japan at Noritake training for familiarization of Japanese Technology on “Product Design and Modeling”

HIGHLIGHTS OF HIS QULIFICATIONS:

Humility but effectiveness making each of the members of the club to actively participate in all activities.
Draws members to attend club meetings regularly and participate in the discussion.
Leads the group with so much respect to his members, hence he is highly respected likewise.
He involves his family to support the club’s activities doling out their own money with so much compassion for seniors.
Donates food at any given occasion from ordinary meetings to major functions and shares their delicacies with other organizations as well.
Spends time, treasure and talent without conditions and rewards.
Reliable, dependable and take full responsibility for any flaws, shortcomings and weaknesses of any member but with action to address it, if any.
Decisive in a very gentle manner, in his dealings with all people.
He leads, never commands, he inspires never criticizes. He is a one leader that is an epitome of gentleness and dedication.
He never shows pessimism but optimism that everything will be made possible with cooperation and not competition.
He believes that in faith, there is unity. He gives back the glory to the Almighty.

Three main reasons for the nomination :

God centered in his leadership working with his faith that the greatest leader is the servant of all.
He leads a life of honesty, integrity starting from home to the community. His attitude as a leader is that of a volunteer’s heart, taking no pride and submitting to the will of the majority for the welfare of the seniors, being his focus as supported by his family.
His achievements are all taken with modesty and humility, no politics, no factionalism and no animosity. His transparency is one that is envied by many especially with the joy that he has been instilling in the hearts of the seniors, hence he is loved by all…
