It’s a start of a new year, 2017 must be a promising year for all of us. Hoping that the economy in our province will get better and better this year. A lot of our fellow Filipinos were our of job because of the oil and gas industry. I was one of the casualty after working for over 14 years in the company. But I always believe that when one door closes, another one opens. So just remain positive and be patient. Never lose hope because because whatever goes down will go back up. Just like the price of oil, it might be down right now but it will go back up and when it happens there will be a boom again in the oil and gas industry and more projects for the companies and there will be a lot of jobs available. In the meantime, maybe it can be of help to start volunteering or maybe to take some short courses that can help you with your professional growth.

This month of January is a month to recuperate from the holiday season. It is also the month that we make our New Year’s Resolutions for some people. Or time to reflect on what happened for 2016 and how we can make 2017 a better year. Maybe we should always remember that laughter is the best medicine and eliminate the drama in our life so that we do not stress ourselves and if we cannot change the situation, then maybe it’s better to change our attitude towards the situation. Eliminate the drama in our lives so that we do not stress ourselves. Just be happy and have faith that in God’s time, everything will fall into place.

Just last week, I got approached by a fellow Filipino who’s just starting out his business. He came over to my house and gave me a box of his premium ensaymadas. I was so amazed with his ensaymadas, first of all it comes in different flavors but my favorite is with the salted egg and it really taste so good that it melts in your mouth. I don’t think I have to bring back ensaymadas from Red Ribbon or Goldilocks because his ensaymadas are so good that I’d rather help someone starting his business than go all the way to buy somewhere else.
