Hello dear readers,

We’re now in the second month of 2017 and this is one of the best month because it’s supposed to be a celebration of love not just for couples but for all the people we love in our lives. As we all know, we celebrate Valentine’s day on the 14th of February every year to show our love and affection to the people around us. It is very important to make the people we love know how much we love and care for them for we don’t know what tomorrow will bring. Some of us are not very expressive in words but will express more in our actions how we treasure our loved ones. In any shape or form, it is very better to make them feel while they are with us that we dearly love and care for them. For couples, flowers, chocolates, cards and gifts are common expression of celebrating Valentine’s day. For others, they don’t have to celebrate it on a specific day because everyday is a day to express their love and care for each other. Saying I love you is the most common phrase we will hear from people, but it’s a lot different when you show them how you really love them. This month is very touching month for me as a wife because my love for my husband cannot be compared with any other kind of love. If you are ready to sacrifice your own life for the other, ready to give up on your own goal just to be there for your loved one, ready to give your time day in and day out, ready to stay by his side at all times, then you don’t need to give him chocolates, cards or gifts because everything you do for him cannot be compared with any material things around him except for your presence in his life. Love has no boundaries, love has no conditions, love is willing to sacrifice and love is what made my world complete. So make sure you show your loved ones how you are willing to love them to no end because we do not know what tomorrow brings and we’d rather show it to them while they are here with us. HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY TO ALL OF YOU!

I would like to remind our readers that no matter what hardships we’re going thru with our lives, we should take time to have some fun once in a while. Don’t forget that there’s upcoming shows in Calgary for the Filipino community on February 25, 2017 at the Century Casino for The Soul Brothers, Jay-R and Kris Lawrence brought to us by MDL Team Events and also on March 11, 2017 again at the Century Casino Showroom brought to us by Fil-Can 2 on 2 Promotions Ltd. for the VOICES N MOTION with Morisette Amon, The Next Big Diva and Sam Concepcion, The Absolute Performer with the hilarious Peanut and front acts, Angelica Cruz, Dhon del Rosario and Chie Vengiza. So treat your family and friends with one of these concerts for the Filipino community. Also don’t forget another one coming up on March 18, 2017 with OPM brought to us by Good Shepherd Productions at the Kerby Centre. Let’s support our local artists as well from Calgary. Thanks to Hardy Castillo for all his hard work and efforts to put up this show together.
