The Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede to celebrate A Season of Wonder

Calgary– It’s the most magical time of the year, and the Calgary Stampede Foundation is pleased to once again present The Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede in A Season of Wonder, a spectacular Christmas production featuring over 150 musicians, singers and dancers.

“If you love the Stampede’s Grandstand show, you’ll love this special Christmas show,” say Bill Avery, director and producer for the Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede.  “As always, we take the energy and the creativity from our summer Grandstand show and package it in an amazing Christmas presentation for the entire family.”

Sponsored by TransAlta, this year’s show moves indoors to the Jack Singer Concert Hall on Saturday, December 12 with a special public presentation at 7:00 p.m.

“The Calgary Stampede Foundation is proud to support southern Alberta youth through The Young Canadians School for the Performing Arts,” says David McDermid, chairman of the board, Calgary Stampede Foundation. “Our partnership with TransAlta provides an unequaled training program in the performing arts – one that allows us to present a Christmas spectacular that rivals anything you will experience anywhere.”

The Young Canadians School for the Performing Arts is a year-round educational facility that provides world-class performing arts and education on a scholarship basis for young Albertans.

Tickets for A Season of Wonder are only $20 and are available through the Epcor Centre Box Office, or online at www.epcorcentre.org. Tickets will also be available at the door.

The Season of Wonder presentation by The Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede is being held in conjunction with events and activities throughout December
