CALGARY PILIPINO  BASKETBALL  ASSOCIATION – FINALS 2010 thumbnail

Last Sunday, February 28, was the final and championship games of the Calgary Pilipino Basketball Association (CPBA) held at Rundle College in Calgary South West Campus. Congratulations once again to the Officers of CPBA for pulling another successful   year.  There were four teams that played in this Championship round.  With the first game vying for third and fourth places, Team E & M Corporation vs. JENRIK, put up a Sport Show event that made their basketball fans screaming in excitement.  The winner was JENRIK with score of 106 points against E & M Corporation’s 96 points.  The teams that followed right after were played by Team PASOC versus Team JUS BLAZE.  This was the main event for the defending champions PASOC were filled with energy and hope to bag it once again and come out victorious.  And they did not fail their followers as they swept with a winning score of 78 points as oppose to 70 points for JUZ BLAZE.  A Back-to-Back victory for the Pangasinan Association of Calgary as they defended their title. The tournament was an overwhelming success and the officers of CPBA was very satisfied with the results.

Individual Trophies:

Most Valuable Player (MVP) Finals and Championship games goes to Aris De La Paz of PASOC Team
Most Valuable Player (MVP) for regular session goes to Jeff Carlos of JUZ BLAZE Team

Rookie of the Year goes to Rhodley Cruga of PEG City Team

Sportsmanship goes to Dennis Valdez
