Our very own Kayla Rivera Iovan was included in the top 20 aspirants in the Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar hosted by the Mega Star herself Ms, Sharon Cuneta.. There were  57 contestants from all over the Philippines during the final elimination round last October and originally the organizers were aiming for the tip 12 but eventually decided to increase the number to 20, thus The Top 20 on Star Power, Sharon Cuneta’s ABS CBN Search for the Next Top Female Pop star. Her screen name is K-La Rivera.

Born August 13, 1990 in Calgary Alberta Canada, now currently resides in Quezon City Philippines to try her luck in the Philippine Entertainment Industry.  In Calgary she had won numerous awards in singing and beauty competitions.  She was the 1st Singing Star Search Grand Prize winner  sponsored by Barrio Fiesta Restaurant, the 1st runner Up in the Pinoy Village Singing Competition, Miss Philippines Calgary, got the top 2 spot for the David Foster Search for.

The competition started 3 weeks ago as of printing of this article. The Elimination rounds are held every Sunday Philippine time. The competition is being judged by , Billy Crawford, Mitch Valdes and  Bobot  hosted by Sharon Cuneta and co anchored by Erik Santos and Christian Bautista they themselves are product of singing competitions. You can watch them compete every Sunday at Star Power under the reality menu for the TFC subscribers for video on demand.  Please support our own homegrown talent from Calgary K-La achieve her quest for stardom and fame in the Philippines.
