More Pinoys enjoys Kapamilya Shows via ABS-CBN TV Plus

ABS-CBN TVplus has changed the way viewers watch television as they now enjoy crystal clear picture, additional premium channels with no monthly fees, and Super KBO service that features the latest blockbuster movies.

With 2.6 million TVplus units sold since its launch in 2015, ABS-CBN has seen a significant boost in its TV ratings and viewership. According to data from Kantar Media, ABS-CBN’s audience share in Mega Manila increased to 36 percent, compared to 31 percent in 2015. The network’s ratings in Mega Manila also climbed up to 14 percent from 11 percent in 2015.

More households also have access to the black boxes as ABS-CBN TVplus widens its distribution and sales, reaching up to 26 percent of the C2D homes in 2017.

The news was shared in Ikaw ang Sunshine Ko Isang Pamilya Tayo trade event held last March 30, which showed the increasing demand of viewers for TVplus boxes.

Aside from ABS-CBN TVplus’ success, ABS-CBN’s upcoming and most-awaited programs were also announced in the event.

Leading the pack were Teen King and Queen Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo in their return to television via the upcoming fantasy-series La Luna Sangre, the third installment of the series Lobo andImmortal. Another notable loveteam of ABS-CBN, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, will relive the kilig on their most-awaited comeback in Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin.

Also part of the newest offerings of the Kapamilya network are drama series Kung Kailangan Mo Ako, starring Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona with Joshua Garcia, and Pusong Ligawwith Beauty Gonzales and Bianca King.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN still remains as the true home of Asianovelas as Korean dramas Legend of the Blue Sea, Goblin, Weightlifting Fairy, Hwarang, Doctor Crush and W bring kilig to viewers.

Fans can also look forward to the return of reality shows Bet on Your Baby, hosted by Judy Ann Santos, and The Voice Teens with coaches Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo and Sharon Cuneta.

Meanwhile, aside from the newest shows of ABS-CBN, the Kapamilya stars were also applauded with their performances that brought fun and excitement to audiences.

Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo brought a concert treat to the advertisers as she opened the night with an explosive sing-and-dance number. Adding to the concert experience were ASAP artists Piolo Pascual, Jay-R, Kyla and KZ Tandingan as they sang Justin Bieber hits.

Viewers were sent into a frenzy as Kathryn and Daniel sang the theme song of their upcoming Star Cinema movie Can’t Help Falling in Love. The kilig-fest continued as A Love to Last’s Bea Alonzo and Ian Veneracion proved their chemistry in their performance.

Kapamilya stars’ impressive talents also shone through with I Candidates of I Can Do That Cristine Reyes, Arci Muñoz, Daniel Matsunaga, Gab Valenciano, Pokwang, Sue Ramirez, JC Santos and Wacky Kiray kept the advertisers at the edge of their seats with their show-stopping performances.

The cute transformations of the celebrity kids of Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids also impressed the crowd as they sang and danced like the artists they impersonated.

Tawag ng Tanghalan alums Noven Belleza, Froilan Canlas and Sam Mangubat left the audience in awe with their powerful vocals that filled the whole venue.

Pinoy Big Brother Season 7 Big 4 Maymay Entrata, Kisses Delavin, Yong Muhajil and Edward Barber also impressed viewers with their killer dance moves.

The advertisers also had the chance to get upclose and personal with the Kapamilya heartthrobs Piolo, Daniel, Ian and Joshua as they had selfies and gave cellphone units to lucky winners.

Serving as the night’s hosts were I Can Do That hosts Robi Domingo and Alex Gonzaga.

As the show ended, BoybandPH and teen stars Sue, Maymay, Kisses, Kristel Fulgar, Ylona Garcia, Alexa Ilacad and Kira Balinger sang and danced to ABS-CBN’s summer station ID Ikaw ang Sunshine Ko.
