Publisher’s Note

July 1st was the 150th Canada Day celebration. It was a very special day for all of us to be a part of this event. I remember 21 years ago how I didn’t have any idea of how my children and I will survive in a new country which will be home to us. After 21 years I realized the big difference of living here in Canada and living in my home country, the Philippines. I always say I will always go back to the Philippines because after living there for 36 years, I was not able to see all the natural wonders of my country. But in the end I always tell myself that there is no place like home and that is in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It’s good to be Canadian and I’m proud to be one!

It’s going to be a busy summer with the Calgary Stampede being the 10 busiest day of the month. The weather has been very cooperative during the parade and it was a huge success. The city is again full of tourist from all over to world to witness the greatest outdoor show on earth here in Calgary. I was able to see the Rodeo one afternoon and I’d say that it is indeed a one of a kind of sport. The cowboys are indeed full of stamina during their performance.

Enjoy the outdoors this summer. Plan your camping trips or just go for a drive and enjoy the Rockies. For those garden enthusiasts, smell the flowers and enjoy its’ beauty.

I missed my garden enthusiasts this year as he joined our creator in February but looking at his rock garden with all the different flowers just make me smile; for I know that he has left me something that is priceless.
