PEOPLE’S CHOICE FOR BEST ETHNIC CUISINE – PHILIPPINE FOOD BOOTH

PEOPLE’S CHOICE FOR BEST ETHNIC CUISINE – PHILIPPINE FOOD BOOTH thumbnail

by C.K.

We would like to congratulate from the recently concluded GLOBALFEST 2019, PEOPLE’S CHOICE FOR BEST ETHNIC CUISINE is the Philippine food booth. When there is teamwork, there is definitely success.  The team was headed by Mama Vi of Barrio Fiesta with Marietta Pangan, Fantasy Pretzels, Etienne’s Delight and the crew of Adobo Express and the rest of the volunteers.  The food that they served were basically what Pinoys and Canadians love, there’s the spring rolls, stir fried noodles, pork barbeque, grilled chicken but there’s a twist with the Filipino inspired pretzels.  Aside from that Etienne’s delight has provided variety of Filipino desserts like the sans rival, leche flan, choco crinkles, ensaymadas.  Some canadians even asked if there’s the popular chicken  because they have been to the Philippines before. The line-up at the food booth was the longest amongst the other food booths.   Rain or shine, people were always craving to have a taste of the Philippine cuisine.  Next year should be bigger since there will be a Philippine delegation for the fireworks.  Again, a big round of applause to our Philippine Ethnic Cuisine booth for winning the People’s Choice this year.
