German Moreno passes away at 82

Veteran TV host and actor German “Kuya Germs” Moreno passed away early morning on Friday due to cardiac arrest. He was 82.

According to his nephew John Nite, Kuya Germs died at around 3:20AM in a hospital in Quezon City. He was already rushed to the hospital Thursday evening.

“He passed on in the company of his family and friends. He lived a full life, touched so many hearts through the years, and helped make dreams come true for most of the biggest stars in the Philippine entertainment industry,” he said.

“We are deeply saddened by his passing but we are comforted by the thought that his legacy will live on,” he added.

In January 2015, the TV host suffered a mild stroke due to fatigue. However he is able to resume working on his talk show “Walang Tulugan with Master Showman” by June.

He was last seen publicly when he inducted a new set of stars into the Eastwood Walk of Fame last December 1.
